Ellen created The Power Plate as an in-person forum to help people learn about plant-based eating, learn new cooking methods, and get support from others on the same path.
After losing her mother to breast cancer and seeing her husband suffer thru cancer treatment, Ellen found herself frustrated with the current medical model of scans, pills, and harmful treatments. Searching for better solutions to improve her husband’s and her own health, Ellen discovered that a Whole Food Plant-Based lifestyle was the answer. After regaining her optimum health and achieving her weight loss goal of 25lbs; Ellen decided it was her mission to help others learn how to adopt a WFPB lifestyle for the prevention of cancer and other diseases.
Ellen is a Certified Plant-Based Ambassador with WeDidIt.health, received her Plant-Based Nutrition Certification from E-Cornell University and is a Licensed FOOD FOR LIFE Instructor with Physician’s Committee For Responsible Medicine.
